Who We Are
Delta Charity Trust is the charitable arm of Delta Clinics, founded to formalise over a decade of humanitarian work in medicine and surgery. Driven by the belief that quality surgical care should not be a privilege, Delta Charity Trust provides medical treatment, surgical expertise, and clinical education to those who have no other means of accessing adequate care — wherever they are in the world.
Our work is made possible by the dedication of our surgeons and clinical team, and the generosity of those who support our mission.
Our Mission
Surgical Care
Funding and delivering surgical procedures, medications, and hospital stays for victims of trauma and burns, and for underprivileged individuals who have no access to adequate medical treatment.
Medical Education
Delivering surgical training and clinical teaching to doctors and nurses in under-resourced hospitals across the world.
Global Reach
Our work spans the UK, Africa, Asia and beyond, reaching patients who would otherwise have no access to surgical care.
Our Charitable Activities
Surgical Mission to Myanmar
Mr Alfie was selected by BFAST (British Association for Surgery of Trauma) — the charitable arm of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons — to join a surgical mission to Myanmar (Burma). Over one week, he operated on complex cases, performed microsurgery to save limbs, and delivered hands-on teaching to local medical teams, helping patients who had been left with untreated disabilities following road accidents, burns, and trauma.

Teaching Mission, Cairo
Mr Alfie visited one of Cairo’s leading charity hospitals, delivering a three-day programme of surgical training and clinical education to junior doctors and nurses, while also performing operations on patients in need of care.

Humanitarian Mission
In August 2026, Delta Clinics’ head surgeon Mr Hazem Alfie joined a humanitarian surgical mission, operating on victims of war — including children — who had suffered severe traumatic injuries. Working alongside local surgical teams, he performed complex reconstructive procedures to restore function and give patients the chance to rebuild their lives.

Delta Charity Trust has also donated medical equipment and supplies to charitable organisations in the UK and across Africa. Our work now spans three continents and continues to grow.
